Article Schema Generator
An article schema generator is a tool that writes schema.org Article structured data in JSON-LD. It collects…
Create valid QAPage JSON-LD for a page with one question and answers written by your users.
Use QAPage only on a page with one question where users can post answers. Test the code in Google's Rich Results Test before you publish.

The free qa page schema runs in your browser, needs no sign-up and never sends what you type anywhere.
QA page schema is QAPage structured data for a page built around one question with answers submitted by users, such as a forum thread. It needs a Question with name, answerCount and at least one acceptedAnswer or suggestedAnswer, each with text. Do not use it for FAQ pages written by the site itself.
A QA page schema generator is a tool that writes QAPage JSON-LD from your question and answers. It nests one Question inside mainEntity, sets answerCount to the number of answers, puts the chosen answer in acceptedAnswer and the rest in suggestedAnswer, each with text, author, date, upvotes and its own URL.

QAPage schema marks up a page where one question is followed by answers that users submitted, such as a forum or community answer site. Google's Q&A structured data guide says the page must focus on a single question and users must be able to add answers.
QAPage is for one question with answers from many users; FAQPage is for a list of questions the site owner answers. Google says not to use QAPage for FAQ pages or pages with multiple questions. Google also stopped showing FAQ rich results in 2026, while Q&A structured data is still documented.
Yes, Google still documents Q&A rich results for eligible pages, but eligibility never guarantees a rich result. The page must follow the content guidelines, include the full text of the question and answers, and pass the Rich Results Test. Education Q&A pages with expert answers may get a separate carousel.
| Property | Type | Google status |
|---|---|---|
| mainEntity | QAPage | Required: holds the Question |
| name | Question | Required: the question title |
| answerCount | Question | Required: total number of answers |
| acceptedAnswer or suggestedAnswer | Question | Required: at least one |
| text | Answer | Required: full answer text |
| author, datePublished, upvoteCount, url | Question and Answer | Recommended |
Example: a forum thread asks why new backlinks do not show in Search Console and has 2 answers with 22 and 6 upvotes. The asker accepted the first. The generator outputs a QAPage with answerCount 2, the 22 vote answer in acceptedAnswer with url #answer-1, and the 6 vote answer in suggestedAnswer with url #answer-2.
No. Google says QAPage is not for FAQ pages or pages with several questions, and a site written answer does not qualify. A blog FAQ section is better left as plain visible text; FAQPage markup no longer produces rich results either.
Yes. Google lists answerCount as required on the Question. It should equal the total number of answers to the question on the page, including the accepted answer and all suggested answers. This tool counts your answer lines and fills it in automatically.
No. Google requires at least one acceptedAnswer or suggestedAnswer. Use acceptedAnswer only when the asker or a moderator really accepted that answer, and put every other answer in suggestedAnswer. Never mark an answer accepted just to look better.
No. Google asks you to use the comment property with the Comment type for replies to the question or to an answer, not the Answer type. Only real answers to the main question belong in acceptedAnswer or suggestedAnswer.
Place the script tag in the head or body of the question page. Most forum software builds it from a template, so add it to the thread template and fill the values from your database, with the same text users see on the page.
Paste the live URL or code into Google's Rich Results Test to check eligibility, and into the Schema Markup Validator for general schema.org errors. After publishing, Search Console shows Q&A issues in its enhancement reports once Google recrawls the page.
